Artist Notes
This is a really fun technique. I started by base coating the whole ‘Mech in silver or steel metallic, any paint will do, I actually used Rust-Oleum spray paint for this one.
Once the base coat is dry its time for the tricky yet fun part, applying contrast or contrast like paints. Your preferred brand is fine. I used citadel contrast for this mech, specifically: Baal Red, Magmadroth Flame, Bad Moon Yellow, Talassar Blue, Striking Scorpion Green, and Luxion Purple. Simply apply 2-3 coats of each until you’re happy with the result, just be careful as these paints love to drip, so try not to overdo it, or do, and have them mix in all the crevices for a fun effect.
After that it was a simple matter of detailing the weapons, and then I did give the whole ‘Mech a wash with Nuln Oil to bring everything together.
