The MPU welcomes and invites submissions of both individual miniatures and group shots of units. Submissions must follow these guidelines to be accepted:
- Submissions must be of official BattleTech miniatures, such as sold by Catalyst Game Labs, Iron Wind Metals, Ral Partha, or WizKids. 3D printed minis will not be accepted. Minis may be customized (“kitbashed”) but custom parts can represent no more than 20% of the mini.
- Miniatures should be painted to tabletop quality, with a minimum of 3 different colors.
- Please include 1-5 pictures of the minis (up to 7 for group shots). Photos should have a square aspect ratio, a resolution of at least 1000×1000 pixels, and be no larger than 2MB. Miniatures should be in focus and photographed on a background. This background may be plain monochromatic, a mapsheet, or a diorama. If a group shot, the picture should have a clear view of each mini.
- Submissions should include a title and a short description of the minis. This description should include the chassis and variants of the minis.
- Select tags for the faction, canon/non-canon, and colors.
- Submissions should include a list of paints used. This list should include the brand and line, as applicable.
- Submissions should include the artist’s name. Images posted without artist’s consent are prohibited and will be removed.
- Submissions including inappropriate content, such as iconography from hate groups, will be automatically rejected.
- Submissions including generative AI features, such as backgrounds or enhancements outside the scope of basic photo editing, will be rejected. If an entry is later found to have used generative AI features, it will be removed.
MPU claims no ownership of works posted on MPU’s website. Images are owned by the users who post them and will be removed upon request.
