The Castilian Brigada are fiercely nationalistic, so most military machines are flamboyantly painted in the national colors. Vertical stripes of green and yellow are used on the limbs of ‘Mechs, but the torso and head are left a dull metallic color.

Artist Notes
I started by priming the miniature with Army Painter Ash Gray rattlecan primer, then giving it a zenithal of Army Painter Matt White rattlecan primer. The arms, legs, and face (pilot’s artistic license) were coated with Citadel Imperial Fist contrast paint, then given a very heavy drybrush of Vallejo Golden Yellow; overspill of both onto the torso were ignored, and they would be cleaned up later. Then, a lot of time was spent creating the vertical green stripes using Vallejo Luftwaffe Green and tidying them up with the Golden Yellow – throughout this process, some imperfections were allowed to simulate how I imagine a Periphery ‘Mech would be painted. The torso, weapons, hands, and feet were painted using Vallejo TMM Aged Metal (Base), then the entire ‘Mech was washed with Vallejo TMM Aged Metal (Shade) diluted 1:1 with Pro Acryl Glaze & Wash Medium to reduce staining of armor panels. The Golden Yellow portion of the limbs was lightly drybrushed with more Golden Yellow, the Luftwaffe Green portion of the limbs was lightly drybrushed with Vallejo Camouflage Green, and the metallic bits lightly drybrushed with Vallejo TMM Aged Metal (Light). The eyes were painted with Army Painter Hexed Violet and gradually mixed with small amounts of Pro Acryl Bold Titanium White as the eyes went toward the center. Each medium laser was given a dot of Bold Titanium White followed with a dot of Army Painter Wild Green, the inside of the AC barrel was painted with Pro Acryl Coal Black, and the missile warheads wee given a small dot of Army Painter Mithril.
The base was coated in Citadel Stirland Mud, which was also stipled a small amount on the feet. Then, a thin layer of AK Interactive Terrains Snow was applied over the Stirland Mud, and also stipled lightly on the feet. The rim of the base was given a flat layer of Coal Black, then everything was given a rattlecan coat of Army Painter Anti-Shine Matt Varnish.
