Artist Notes
Base coated the miniatures in Vallejo Night Blue and be careful when painting the left half in Vallejo Burnt Red. To brighten up the blue, I glazed Night Blue on the blue side, slowly adding more and more Vallejo Steel Blue until I was glazing with only Steel Blue. The glazing was done to have the light come from the right side when looking at the miniature. Then I edge highlighted. the areas that had been lit up with the glazing with pure Steel Blue. I did the same for the red but I lightened the Burnt Red with white until it was a light pink. I then did the edge highlighting in that same light pink. The metal effects were done using Vallejo Neutral Grey and lightening it up until it became white. The white is put on the head or an area near the head and is done by using a light grey with white on top keeping the grey in the crevices. The cockpit glass was painted using Hexed Lichen, gradually lightened with white. Gloss varnish was put on thickly over the cockpit and laser ports to make them shiny. This can be switched out for UV resin.
