Artist Notes
The first Capellan Chancellor to die in battle, Ilsa Liao dedicated significant effort to retaking Chesteron from the Federated Suns. She died leading the Red Lancers at the staging planet of Orbisonia. Maximillian Liao would revive Isla’s MAD-2R, Counterbalance, during his own career as a Mechwarrior prosecuting the Liao-Davion border.
ProAcryl (PA) Bold Pyrrole Red sprayed over white provides this rich cherry-red finish. Adding a little white to the red provided soft pink highlights applied with an airbrush.
Black-and-grey metal areas were done using blends of PA Coal Black to PA Medium Grey, mixed in five steps to produce the gradient.
The yellow striping is Scale75 Scalecolor Sahara Yellow.
