Spina Khanate uses a light blue with steel highlights. Some units opt to instead paint a turquoise green that starts at the feet of ‘Mechs and battle armor and the rear of aerospace fighters and tanks then fades into blue around the middle of the unit with water details throughout.

Artist Notes
I combined features of the two canon schemes mentioned for the Spina Khanate. (Blue with steel highlights and turquoise at the bottom fading up to Blue)I did this because I wasn’t confident enough to tackle the whole miniature gradient alongside wave patterns but I still wanted the turquoise to make my Sea Fox Star stand out. So I instead changed it to a harsh break somewhere just below the joints on the lower limbs and also kept the metallic panels for more visual interest. Magenta and Orange were chosen for the cockpit/lasers to provide some warm colours as contrast. Paints used listed below.
- Blue- Vallejo Game Color Elfic Blue
- Turquoise- 1 to 1 Mix of Vallejo GC Jade Green and Army Painter Turquoise Siren
- Metals- Vallejo Model Color Oily Steel
- Greys- AK 3rd Gen Basalt Grey
- Cockpit and Lasers- AK 3rd Gen Off White then coated with Vallejo GC Fluorescent Magenta/Orange respectively.
- Base- Vallejo GM Black
- Base Writing- Same Mix for the Turquoise
- Rear Hazard Stripes- Vallejo GC Sun Yellow
- Primer- AK Interactive Fine Black Primer
- Wash-Thinned AP Strong Tone
- Varnish- Vallejo Acrylic Gloss Varnish Rattle Can
