Artist Notes
The Dervish had a bright grey/white underpaint using AP Ash Grey and Matt White, applied with drybrush and then refined with white glazing, over which thinned down AP speedpaints (2 parts paint, 1 part AP speedpaint medium) were applied. Tidal Wave (Light Blue) was used on the front and upper sections, while Beowulf Blue (Dark Purplish Blue) was used in the shadows and the rear of the mech. AP Gunmetal was used for metallics and “silver highlights”. AP Bright Sapphire was the blue edge highlight color. AP Leafy Green was used for the tips of the SRM’s, as well as on the freehanded left shoulder insignia. PA Bold Pyrrole Red was used for the LRM tubes, as well as for the darkest color of the canopy. The canopy glow was achieved by gradually mixing in AP Daemonic Yellow and eventually AP Matt White. AP Daemonic Yellow was also used for the laser glows. Panel lining was done with a thinned careful application of AP Dark Tone. Finally, the Dervish was varnished with AK Ultra Matte Varnish.
