Artist Notes

To start the miniature off, I primed it with a spray can of Vallejo Grey primer. After the primer had cured, I applied a base coat of AK Amethyst Blue to the entire mini. I followed that by picking out parts of the ‘mech like joints, actuators, and weapons with Scale75 Metals & Alchemy Thrash Metal, and touched up any errors in brush control with the Amethyst Blue. I then took P3 Cygnar Blue and applied it to certain panels to break up the mech’s silhouette from common viewing angles, given that the scheme is intended to be night camouflage. I applied the lighter camo splotches after this, using a 4:1 mix of AK Pastel Violet and the P3 Cygnar Blue. I created those splotches by lightly dabbing the point of my brush against the model repeatedly. I then colored the cockpit viewports with AK Emerald Metallic Green. To finish the model off, I applied a coat of Vallejo Model Color Light Grey wash to the majority of the model, avoiding the cockpit view ports, and blacking out the barrels of the ballistic weapons and missile racks with ProAcryl Satin Black, and picking out the Medium Laser with ProAcryl Heavy Titanium White first, then applying Scale 75 FX Fluor Experience Techno Green over top after it had dried.
