The Ace’s fighters are all painted a stark bone white. The unit insignia, a large black space surrounded by a corona of flame, is painted on the left wing of each craft. With each kill the flaming corona around the unit crest on a pilot’s fighter is expanded as well. On the fighter of an accomplished pilot, the twisting reds, yellows and oranges form intricate patterns across the craft’s wings, nose and fuselage. No two craft are ever painted alike.

Artist Notes
Model was primed vallejo german green brown, then drybrushed up vallejo buff, and then pro acryl bright pale yellow. The underside was panel line washed army painter sepia, and cleaned up with buff. The upper was paneled pro acryl pale ivory, panel lined pale yellow, and then edge highlighted pro acryl bold titanium white. Fittings like the engines and intakes got thinned pro acryl blue black, and the cockpit was done in vallejo night blue and french blue.
The dragon was sketched in vallejo nocturnal red, then built up with pro acryl bold pyrole red and bismuth yellow hatching.
The stem was wet blended up from nigt blue to french blue to vallejo andrea blue to army painter storm wolf, while the bottom was done with vallejo saddle brown, orange brown, and buff stippling, with some coal black and white for the shades and clouds.
