The 53rd Shadow Division paints their ‘Mechs black on lower portions, fading to light gray towards the top, with dark green highlights on the arms.

Artist Notes
Mini was primed with Army Painter black spray paint.
Lower torso and legs were drybrushed with Vallejo Grey Green using a makeup brush.
Upper torso and arms were drybrushed with GW Administratum Grey. I then used a detail brush to paint some the upper torso panels more “smoothly” and make them less grainy from drybrushing, trying to leave the drybrush effect on the lower chest/mid-torso.
Cockpit glass was painted first with GW Abaddon Black, then a small amount of GW Word Bearers Red in the upper part of the glass, followed by a very thin stripe of GW Evil Sunz Scarlet in the corner of the glass panel.
Green accents on the arms were painted with GW Warpstone Glow.
Missile launcher, head laser and AMS system were painted with GW Iron Hands Steel.
I used GW Nuln Oil for some panel lines and to make the missile ports stand out more.
