What is it with purple mechs being used by factions with birds as their symbol? This mech started with a basic purple basecoat (I used Apple Barrel “Royal Violet” that I lightened by hand mixing in a bit of white).
After about two coats, I then began adding slashes of purple across the mech in a very basic camo pattern. I used the unaltered Purple for this and simply placed slashes where it looked best. After this I went back and added slashes of blue to complete the camo pattern (Apple Barrel “Dutch Blue”).
Once the camo was done it was time to paint details in steel, and then wash the minis in Citadel “Nuln Oil,” or your black tinted wash of choice. I then tinted the cockpits with Citadel “Tesseract Glow” and painted my lasers and gun barrels.
