Artist Notes
This is the Big Demolisher from IWM. It is painted in the colors of Fuchida’s Fusiliers. This mercenary unit later turned to piracy and became the Tortuga Fusiliers. This model has the markings for both units.
There are a lot of “easy black” tutorials on YouTube and similar – the general concept for the technique is to prime black, run a thin black over the model (such as Nuln Oil, GW black contrast, Vallejo Express Black Lotus) and then drybrush more black.
