Artist Notes
Priming was done with 2+ coats of Vallejo Grey surface primer (applied by brush).
Base coat was 2+ thin coats of AP Shining Silver until primer layer is no longer visible, across full model. Base coat was augmented first with a heavy Dry brush of AP Necromancer Cloak, across full model. Then a lighter drybrushing of AP Ash Grey, across full model.
Primary Accent color was AP Goblin Green, applied with multiple thin layers until the base coat was no longer visible underneath.
Mechanical joints/exposed sensors and many other greebles are painted with 1-2 coats of AP Plate Mail Metal. Weapons are painted with 1-2 coats of AP Gun Metal. Cockpits, hand actuators, the back of lenses are painted with 1-2 coats of AP Matte Black.
Wash is 1-2 coats of watered down AP Strong tone across full model (watered down via applying wash using a brush with no/minimal removal of excess water after washing, depending on how watery the rest of the wash on the palette was).
Basing was 2 coats of AP Uniform grey as the basecoat. Pathways were made with AP Ash Grey. Grass was done with AP Leather brown, followed by AP Battlefield Field Grass. Front arc is painted with 2 layers of Demonic yellow, Rear arc is painted with 2 layers of Demonic Purple.
Missile tubes were painted with several layers of Demonic Yellow until the missile tubes were filled and presented a flat surface or as close as possible. Mech was clear coated with a layer of Citadel technical Stormsheild paint applied by brush to the full model.
Lenses and Cockpits were done first with the base layer of AP Matte Black. then 2+ layers of AP Lava Orange. Then a wash of AP Blue tone was applied to the cockpits/lenses. After the clear-coating, a final layer of Citadel Technical Spiritstone Red was applied.
Clan Jade Falcon logo was freehanded with AP Goblin green. Sword and rectangle were made with a base layer of AP Uniform Grey, then a thin highlight line of AP Ash grey, with a hilt done with AP Matte Black. Finally beak and claws were done with AP Moon dust.
