Scheme Reference
The Dragoons prefer bold color schemes that emphasize their presence on the battlefield. Unit aerospace fighters are commonly painted bright “canary” yellow or fiery orange, though the classic red-on-black scheme is still prevalent. BattleMechs are typically painted solid colors; red, gold or black are favored hues.

Artist Notes
Primary colors were applied with an airbrush in a zenithal procedure, using black primer as the shadow, Vallejo Model Color German Grey as a midtone, Pro Acryl Dark Neutral Grey for highlights, and a 50/50 mix of Pro Acryl Dark Neutral Grey and Neutral Grey for extreme highlights. Red accents were applied with Pro Acryl Burnt Red, Red Oxide, and Bold Pyrrole Red. The model was washed with a thin application of Pro Acryl Black Wash prior to application of highlights and red accents.
