Thunderbolt – Olive Drab

Artist Notes

I primed the miniature with Army Painter Gray Brush-On Primer. I then basecoated the entire mech with Army Painter Army Green, avoiding the cockpit area, and once dry, slathered Citadel Agrax Earthshade wash liberally over the whole mech, again avoiding the cockpit.

Then I did the weapon barrels, using Army Painter Gun Metal, followed by Citadel Nuln Oil wash, and then a highlight of Army Painter Shining Silver.

With the weapons done, I moved to drybrushing. I did two layers of drybrushing over the whole mech, first with Army Painter Camouflage Green, then with Army Painter Olive Drab.

For the cockpit, I used Army Painter Shining Silver, and then a layer of Zealot Yellow speedpaint.

Lastly, I did the base. I started with Vallejo European Mud texture paste, let it dry overnight, and then liberally used Citadel Agrax Earthshade over the whole base, and once dry, mixed Army Painter Leather Brown and Ancient Stone, and lightly drybrushed over the base.
