This is a Shilone painted after Tyra Miraborg’s Shilone, based off the art on the Shilone salvage box.
Artist Notes
The Shilone was primed with Rustoleum black primer. All paint was Army Painter Fanatic. Ash Grey, Imperial Navy, and Dragon Red were used for the base layers. Diluted Dark Tone wash was added to darken the recesses. Then another layer (diluted) of the aforementioned hues was used to cleanup the stains left by the wash. Cobalt Metal was used for the metallics. The cockpit canopy started with Dragon Red, then transitioned to Lava Orange, and finally Daemonic Yellow. White was used for the final accent. The numerals (21) were Pure Red and outlined with matte white. Everything was sealed with matte varnish except for the cockpit canopy and laser lens, which were gloss varnish. The hex base and stand were left unpainted. Painters tape was wrapped around the clear pole to protect it from primer and paint.
