Scheme Inspiration
The Charming Crocodiles are the mercenary unit I created for playing in a local Hot Spots: Draconis Reach league. Their paint scheme is intended to resemble a crocodile peeking out from the water. Their upper body is painted green while their legs are two shades of blue-green.
Artist Notes
For the green, I started with a base of Loren Forest. Then I applied a wash of Agrax Earthshade before putting another layer on Loren Forest on the raised panels. Then I highlighted the panels with Straken Green.
For the legs, I did a base of Sotek Green. Then below the knees got a layer of darker Stegadon Scale Green. The entire lower body then got a wash of Nuln Oil. After the wash, I painted the raised panels with the initial colors again: Sotek Green on top, Stegadon Scale Green on bottom. Finally, I highlighted the upper legs with Temple Guard Blue and the lower legs with Sotek Green.
