Spina Khanate uses a light blue with steel highlights. Some units opt to instead paint a turquoise green that starts at the feet of ‘Mechs and Battle Armor and the rear of aerospace fighters and tanks then fades into blue around the middle of the unit with water details throughout.

Artist Notes
I chose to keep steel highlights to a minimum on this interpretation and focus on the water detailing, primarily on the legs.
The basecoat is Scale75 Sky Blue, each panel was shaded slightly in one direction with a Scale75 Navy Blue laze, and highlighted in the other with Scale75 Caribbean Blue glaze.
The water details were free-handed first with an even mixture of Caribbean Blue and white. A more restricted area, including intersections, was done with more white added in a second layer. Finally the corners and a few key lines were done with just white in a third layer. This technique is very similar to tutorials for painting lightning for Night Lords in Warhammer 40k, just with a different line shape.
Metallics were done with ProAcryl White Gold.
