All Ryuken units paint their BattleMechs charcoal gray. The members of Ryuken-go accent their BattleMechs and other vehicles with shiny steel-blue paint.

Artist Notes
This miniature is special to me. I have used it for testing new techniques and colorways since I started painting. It has been stripped and repainted many times. It has now retired, proudly sporting a paint scheme it deserves.
This mini was primed with a zenithal technique using AP Matt Black and Matt White.
It was base-coated in a 1:1 mix of Vallejo Charcoal and TTC Cold Corpse Blue, which was then blended to pure Cold Corpse Blue in the highlights. It was washed with Nuln Oil and edge highlighted with TTC Wolf Grey.
The blue accents were based in a 2:1 mix of TTC Marine Blue and TTC Amethyst Rain, which was then blended to highlights of TTC Elysium Blue.
The joints and heat sinks were painted with AP Gunmetal and washed in Nuln OIl.
All decals are from Fighting Piranha Graphics.
