Kodiak – Freemen

by

Scheme Reference

The 2nd Freemen use a drab green scheme with upper torsos painted to resemble a wooded skyline at dusk. In arctic environments a white, tan and gray camo is used instead. In either case, the upper arms are painted silver and red nordic runes highlight their machines.

Artist Notes

This was primed in Gray, This was mainly done with airbrush. An orange layer at just above wait was done around the miniature, then a yellow layer overlapping this at a bit higher. Then sky blue, then blue, then lastly night sky blue. I then did the dark green on the legs up to the orange, then a black band for the tree line. Parts of the trees were done with airbrush, the boughs of the trees by hand. I then did the metal in silver.

I did this mech as a challenge from a friend who told me to paint some Rasalhague Dominion as I am a Ghost Bear fan. I accepted the challenge and picked the Freemen as I loved the scheme and the challenge.
