This scheme is based on the descriptions in the Fox Patrol stories and the artwork of Katie Ferraro’s Kit Fox in Legends II.
Artist Notes
While It says in the book, orange with the lower sections featured with gray, the art in Legends II shows black accents which would make the ‘Mechs more “Fox” like as typical foxes have black accents on paws, ears, and tail. I Started off priming in gray, then airbrushed the lower legs in Reaper Light Gray, then airbrushed the Vallejo Parasite Brown. I then did some lighter edge highlights with Vallejo Bronze Brown which really do not show that much. I originally was not doing the black until I saw the art in the Legends II manual and went back first with Katie’s Kit Fox using Vallejo Black. I also had done a brighter silver on metal and then after seeing the art decided to go to a darker metal – Vallejo Dark Gunmetal.
