The Dragoons prefer bold color schemes that emphasize their presence on the battlefield. Unit aerospace fighters are commonly painted bright “canary” yellow or fiery orange, though the classic red-on-black scheme is still prevalent. The Wolf Spider Battalion paints its machines black with blood-red trim.

The model is first primed in Black and given a base coat of Vallejo Black, then over brushed with AK Interactive Rubber Black and drybrushed with AK Interactive French Blue.
The red is started with a base coat of AK Interactive Brick Red, glazed with Citadel Evil Sunz Scarlet and edge highlighted with AK Interactive Medium Orange.
The green of the cockpit is Vallejo Black, AK Russian Green, and AK Interactive Medium Green layered into a gradient with a dot highlights of Army Paint Matt White.
The white stripe is Vallejo Game Color Stonewall Grey highlighted with Army Painter Matt White.
Finally the metal is Vallejo Game Air Chainmail Silver with a Citadel Nuln Oil wash. For the base GF9 Summer Flock Blend is used.
