Scheme Inspiration
This scheme was largely an exercise in getting me excited to paint something again, so I tried something wholly new for me and did a two-tone scheme with speedpaints over metallics.
Artist Notes
The basecoat of the miniature was Army Painter Gun Metal, with progressively smaller drybrushes of AP Shining Silver and Mithril. Once this was done, the legs got a coat of AP Grim Black speedpaint, and the torso and arms got AP Ghillie Dew. The arms and other silver areas were cleaned up afterward. Finally, the cockpit glass was given AP Nuclear Sunrise speedpaint, and gun barrels were given some Citadel Nuln Oil. For the base, I used Vallejo European Earth texture paste with a wash of Citadel Agrax Earthshade, and some Army Painter Battlefield Grass on top.
