Scheme Inspiration
This miniature was painted based on the MechWarrior 2 game cover, representing Clan Wolf.
Artist Notes
For the body of the model, I used Army Painter Battletech’s Gray Death as the base color.
For the camo pattern, I sponged on the Gray Death darkened with Kimera’s Carbon Black, and also sponged on Kimera’s Green Oxide to get the varying dark gray and green patterns.
The weapons were Kimera’s Phalo Blue and Phalo Green for the lasers, and Scalecolor Artist Yellow with Kimera’s Carbon Black for the hazard stripes.
The checkered pattern was painted with Kimera’s The Red mixed with a touch of Citadel’s Fleshtearer’s Red, and Scalecolor’s Yellow. The same red mixture was used for the cockpit, with added black to darken.
The Clan Wolf iconography is waterslide decals from Fighting Pirannha Graphics.
