Miniature prepped and cleaned of as many mold lines as possible using hobby blades, sanding sticks, metal files. Pay particular attention to areas around the feet, shoulders, hands, head.
Prime miniature in black primer (I use Vallejo black airbrush primer). Apply base coat of burnt red to the torso area and black green to each limb. Apply dark red wash to the torso and purple wash to the green limbs. Glaze back up to the base coat to bring back vibrancy, being sure to avoid areas of shadow and other recessed areas. Always glaze towards the direction you want the brightest (highlight) point, being sure to lift your brush there. Begin incorporating brighter colors of respective areas in a layering approach to have a smooth transition up to your highlight areas. Think of laying shingles on a roof.
Apply dark silver to any metallic areas you want, with silver as a highlight color. Pick out any areas for your orange highlights per the scheme, using the mahogany as the base color and the oranges to brighten. This can be individual panels or lines across the mech. The canonicity allows for some flexibility. Additionally, you can choose to apply the orange highlights/lines wherever you choose, I just prefer on the green for the contrast.
